Santino is teeny tiny with excellent conformation, he has a gorgeous little head, wide chest, wide rump, he is short backed and perfectly proportioned. These are many points that I find lacking in the tiny donkeys. His sire LA Little Mosses is a true black jack who has stood grand champion and reserve champion along with earning the Versatility Hall of Fame award both in 2007 and 2009. His dam, Adalaide is a beautiful dark brown jennet, who has also done well in the show ring including placing first as a yearling at the TN State Fair and she was 6th place 2 year old out of 17 at the National Show in Shelbyville in 2006. Santino has inherited both his dam and sires showy conformation. He was not born on our farm so we don’t have a birth height on him, we purchased him when he was a month old at that time he measured just under 18”. There are many donkeys under 30” in his pedigree somehow all those tiny genetics lined up in this sweet little guy, he’s going to be too tiny for our breeding program.
