I have long admired the Pine Grove Farm donkeys, whose herd has since been dispersed. Several summers ago, Morgan and I visited Pine Grove Farm and spent the day with the breeder, Margaret. We poured through old pictures and pedigrees and talked donkeys. At that time she told me about Chutney. She described her as havng ideal conformation and considered her an exceptional example of a miniature jennet. You could even see just how special she was in her baby pictures. Chutney displays a wonderful, deep, round hip; a nearly level topline; a beautiful expressive head with large eyes; all adding up to an overall package overflowing with substance and balance. We were thrilled when the opportunity presented itself for us to purchase this jennet and add her spectacular conformation to our herd. What we did not anticipate was how quickly we would fall in love with this jennet's unbelievable personality and presence.
