As I visit different farms there is occasionally a jennet that I come across that I am completely taken with, she has the conformation, attitude, and “the look”. I saw this stunning little jennet for the first time in 2009 while visiting TTW Westwind farm and fell in love with her. Her conformation is exceptional, she is small, square and stocky with an extra wide chest but the width doesn’t end there it follows all the way through to her rump and then down to her feet with tremendous width between her hocks. With all this stockiness and her depth of body she still pulls off feminine and has that “showy attitude” that I love and a beautiful tiny head. I asked about her in 2009 and Tara told me that she was NOT for sale, in 2010 I received the same answer. In 2011 Tara decided to cut down her herd again and keep only the blacks and sorrels. We are so proud to have this jennet in our herd, thank you so much Tara. Sierra foaled a gorgeous jack by LN Vader’s Black Mojo, on September 14, 2011. We are retaining Bear to raise as a herdsire. Sierra is currently bred to Pepe for a February 2013 foal.
